Research Interests

Research Interests (but not limited to):

• Additive Manufacturing
  Laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) of stainless steels (SS316L, 15-5PH), Ni-based superalloys (IN718), Al alloys (AlSi10Mg), and Cu alloys including post-processing via SPD and heat treatments, Food 3D printing.

• Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD)
  High-pressure torsion (HPT), constrained groove pressing (CGP), multi-axial forging/compression (MAF/MAC), equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) and accumulative roll bonding (ARB) for ultrafine-grained and nanostructured metals.

• Grain Boundary Engineering (GBE)
  Tailoring grain boundary character distribution to improve corrosion resistance, fracture behavior and overall performance in Ni-based superalloys and stainless steels.

• Processing–Structure–Property Correlations
  Linking thermomechanical routes and AM process parameters to microstructure (texture, grain boundary networks, defect structures) and mechanical/corrosion properties.

• Advanced Characterization
  Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), in-situ EBSD (heating/tensile), transmission Kikuchi diffraction (TKD), SEM/EDS, XRD and related techniques for microstructure analysis.

• Alloy Systems of Interest
  Ni-based superalloys, Stainless Steels, Al alloys, Cu alloys, Mg alloys, Metal-Matrix Composites.
